Shreveport, Louisiana – The family of Glen Williams is seeking assistance from the community to help cover burial expenses after his unexpected death earlier this month. Glen Williams was found deceased inside his home on August 21, 2024, after not being heard from or seen since August 12, 2024.
His family is now grappling with the heartbreaking discovery that Glen did not have life insurance, leaving them struggling to find the necessary funds to give him a proper burial. Danielle Nelson, who is organizing the fundraiser on behalf of the family, has set up a GoFundMe page with a goal of $5,000 to help cover the costs.
Danielle Nelson shared the following on the GoFundMe page: "We are looking for help with burial expenses as we are now just finding out he did not have any life insurance. This has put our family in need, trying to find funds to give our dad a proper burial. We would be so grateful if you can donate anything."
The family is reaching out to the community in the hope of receiving support during this difficult time. Those wishing to contribute can do so through the GoFundMe page set up by Danielle Nelson.
The appeal has also sparked conversations on social media. Lynn Chalmers Nelson posted on Facebook, "My daughter and son lost their dad one day last week. Only to find out, he doesn’t have any insurance. Please could you all help to donate to go fund me page below?"
Glen Williams’ family is deeply appreciative of any help they receive and hopes to raise the funds needed to honor him with a proper farewell.
