Six Years Later, Heartache and Unanswered Questions Linger for Missing Zaela Walker in North Las Vegas

North Las Vegas, Nevada – The community of North Las Vegas remains haunted by the mysterious disappearance of 3-year-old Zaela Walker, who was last seen with her parents in August 2018. Despite years of investigations, her whereabouts remain unknown, and the case has left her family and the community seeking justice and closure.

Zaela was reported missing on August 25, 2018, after North Las Vegas police responded to a call regarding her disappearance from the 4600 block of Mission Cantina Avenue. Initially, the search for Zaela included her parents, Rick Beasley and Lakeia Walker, who were also missing. Authorities later discovered that the couple had been traveling across various states, including New Mexico, Texas, Illinois, West Virginia, and Tennessee, and even crossed the border into Tijuana, Mexico. Despite extensive investigations, the couple was found without Zaela in Houston, Texas, on November 17, 2018. Rick Beasley was arrested for an unrelated charge of vehicle theft, but both parents denied knowing Zaela’s whereabouts.

As the case unfolded, chilling details emerged. Law enforcement officials uncovered evidence suggesting that Zaela was no longer alive and that both parents were implicated in her death. Disturbingly, Rick Beasley’s mother, La Tonya Johnson, recalled a night when she was awakened by a loud thud and saw Rick carrying a crying Zaela. This incident, along with subsequent investigations, led to the belief that Zaela suffered severe trauma before her disappearance.

The heartbreaking case has drawn widespread attention and concern on social media, where many have expressed their anguish and frustration. Lashanai Spencer posted, "ZAELA! We haven’t forgotten about you, baby. I just want them to find her. I know she’s most likely not alive due to the blood and stuff found in her parents’ trunk, but her grandma deserves closure and to lay her to rest."

Similarly, Michelle Compston Inman shared, "I think about this baby girl every few months and have to come to the page to see if there are any updates. My prayers to her grandma and that her case will be resolved."

The tragic story of Zaela Walker has left the community in North Las Vegas grieving and demanding answers. Despite six years of investigation, her fate remains a painful mystery, and her family continues to hope for justice and the chance to bring her home.
