Stratford, NJ – The community is grieving the sudden passing of Joseph R. Tindall, a dedicated firefighter, who passed away unexpectedly on August 20, 2024, at the age of 25. From a young age, Joseph, known affectionately as Joey, had a passion for firefighting that defined his life and brought him great fulfillment.

Joey began his journey in firefighting as a Cadet for the Deptford Fire Department at just 12 years old. By the age of 14, he had advanced to the role of junior firefighter, solidifying his commitment to serving his community. His dedication led him to become a general member and volunteer at the Hi-Nella Fire Department, where he was admired for his bravery and selflessness.

In addition to his firefighting career, Joey was known for his love of online gaming and his deep affection for animals. His family and friends remember him as a kind-hearted individual who always put others first, even in his final act of becoming a donor for the Gift of Life Program. Through this program, Joey continues to save lives, reflecting his enduring commitment to helping others.

Joseph is survived by his parents, Brian K. Tindall and Kelly S. Anderson, and his siblings Kimberly Sue, Brian, Courtney, Connor, Theresa, Jennifer, David, Tricia, and Kody. He was a beloved grandson of Joseph Gregory and an adoring uncle to several nieces and nephews. His passing has left a profound void in the lives of his extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to honor Joey’s memory during a visitation on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Costantino-Primo Funeral Home in Berlin, NJ, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM. The interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made in Joseph’s name to the Gift of Life Donor Program or Help Hope Live, organizations that reflect Joey’s spirit of giving and service to others.

A Facebook post by Costantino-Primo Funeral Home shared the obituary, with many community members expressing their sorrow and admiration for Joey. His legacy will continue to inspire us all.” Another shared, “His selflessness in life and in death is a testament to the incredible person he was.”
