Summerside, Prince Edward Island – The Summerside community is rallying in concern after 93-year-old Urie Blacquiere was reported missing. Mr. Blacquiere was last seen on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at approximately 2:30 PM after leaving Access PEI in Summerside.
Mr. Blacquiere was wearing a beige shirt, dark dress pants, and a baseball cap at the time of his disappearance. He was driving a gray Chevrolet Impala with PEI license plate 912 MC. Due to a health condition, his family is deeply worried for his safety.
The Summerside Police Services are urging anyone with information on Mr. Blacquiere’s whereabouts to contact them immediately at 1-902-432-1201 or reach out to their nearest police agency.
On social media, the community has expressed their concern and prayers for his safe return. Marc Arsenault commented, "Hope someone finds him safe," while Dolores MacIntyre shared similar sentiments, "Praying for a safe return." Jennifer MacIsaac-Payne and Cherylin Johnson also expressed their hope, with both posting, "Praying that he is found safe."
Further echoing the concern, Cathy Campbell posted, "Oh no praying for a safe return," and Anne Morrison added, "Praying he is found safely soon." Maxine Paynter’s heartfelt message read, "Please Lord Help Them find this poor man and get him home where he belongs."
As time passes, the urgency to locate Mr. Blacquiere grows, and the Summerside community continues to hope for his safe return.
