Tipp City Community Mourns the Loss of Daniel Hass, 53, After a Brave Battle with Cancer

Tipp City, Ohio – The Tipp City community is mourning the death of Daniel "Dan" J. Hass, a beloved resident who passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the age of 53. Dan’s death follows a courageous battle with cancer, leaving a significant void in the hearts of his family and friends.

Dan Hass was born on December 16, 1970, in Dayton, Ohio, to Richard J. and Roselyn J. (Traver) Haas. He grew up in Trotwood, Ohio, where his family was well-known and respected. His father, Richard J. Haas, served as the Mayor of Trotwood for 18 years, and his mother, Roselyn, was a cherished school teacher in the community.

Dan graduated from Trotwood High School in 1989, and his early life was deeply influenced by his supportive family. Despite losing his parents and his brother, Richard L. Haas, Dan’s own family became the center of his life. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Jennifer (Stanley) Haas, and their four sons: Austin, Nolan, Gordon (fiancée Emma Conley), and Landon.

In addition to his immediate family, Dan is survived by his siblings, Roseann (Michael) McDonald of Colorado and Mary (Jeffrey) Coomer of Union, Ohio. Those who knew Dan admired him for his kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family.

Throughout his life, Dan made significant contributions to his community and was known for his dedication as a family man. His courage in the face of illness and his positive influence will be remembered by all who knew him.
