Jonesboro, Arkansas – On Thursday morning, August 22, 2024, a tragic single-vehicle accident in Jonesboro claimed the life of 18-year-old William Coffman from Bono, Arkansas. The accident occurred around 6:20 a.m. near the intersection of Magnolia Road and Winesap Drive.
According to reports from the Jonesboro Police Department, Coffman was driving his 2024 Toyota Corolla eastbound on Magnolia Road when the vehicle unexpectedly veered off the road just west of Winesap Drive, crashing into a tree. The impact was severe, and the Craighead County coroner, who arrived on the scene shortly after, pronounced Coffman dead.
Initially, authorities mistakenly identified the victim as a juvenile, a mistake that was later corrected in an official statement, confirming Coffman’s identity.
