Tragic Accident in Stockton – 11-Year-Old Queen Marie Stacy Norwood Dies in Fatal Car Crash

Stockton, California – The Stockton community is grieving the tragic loss of 11-year-old Queen Marie Stacy Norwood, who died in a car crash on Sunday morning. The fatal accident occurred around 7:45 a.m. on North El Dorado Street when a vehicle carrying six children, all under the legal driving age, crashed into a tree.

Queen Marie was among the five girls and one boy in the vehicle, aged between 11 and 15. Despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. The other children, who sustained broken bones and bruises, were also hospitalized but are expected to survive.

The incident has shaken the neighborhood, with one resident, who wished to remain anonymous, recalling the loud crash that woke him up. He expressed relief that the car did not crash into his home but was deeply saddened by the loss of such a young life.

In response to the tragedy, Queen Marie’s family gathered at the crash site on Sunday evening. They lit candles and released pink balloons in her memory, temporarily halting traffic as they mourned her untimely death.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, including who was driving the vehicle, the use of seat belts, and whether factors such as distracted driving, speeding, or intoxication played a role. The possibility of parental responsibility is also being considered, though no charges have been filed yet.
