Urgent Search for Missing Eight-Year-Old King Evans from St. Louis County After Abduction by Father

St. Louis County, Missouri – Authorities have issued an "Endangered Person Advisory" for eight-year-old King Evans, who was reported missing earlier today. King was last seen around 10 a.m. on the 3600 block of Heather Trails Drive after being taken by his father, Jarrett Hawthorne, from his grandmother’s residence.

King Evans is described as standing 4 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 85 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, khaki pants, and pink Croc sandals. King suffers from epilepsy, and his father is not familiar with how to administer his medication, heightening concerns for his safety.

Jarrett Hawthorne, who took King, also fled in the grandmother’s vehicle, a dark brown 2013 Nissan Juke with Missouri license plates CX3Z5D. Hawthorne is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and a medium complexion.

The community is urged to be on the lookout for King, Hawthorne, or the vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to immediately call 911 or contact the St. Louis County Police Department at 636-529-8210.

Community members have taken to Facebook to express their concerns and prayers for King’s safe return. A post from the "What’s Happening St. Charles County" group read, “MISSING ENDANGERED CHILD: 8yo King Evans… Anyone seeing King, Hawthorne or the vehicle is urged to call 911.”

This situation is developing, and the family, along with local authorities, are pleading for anyone with information to come forward to ensure King’s safe return.
