Urgent Search Underway for Missing Kearneys Spring Woman Samjhana Adhikari, Family and Police Concerned for Her Safety

Toowoomba, Queensland – The Queensland Police Service has issued an urgent public appeal for assistance in locating 26-year-old Samjhana Adhikari, who was reported missing from Kearneys Spring earlier this morning, August 26, 2024.

Samjhana was last seen on Gouldson Drive at approximately 9:50 a.m. Since then, there has been no contact from her, causing significant concern among her family and the authorities. The disappearance is considered out of character, and her family has emphasized that she suffers from a medical condition, heightening the urgency of the search.

Samjhana Adhikari is described as being of Indian descent, approximately 162 cm tall, with a slim build, dark hair, and dark eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was last seen wearing a blue blouse and green tracksuit pants.

The Queensland Police and her family are appealing to the public for any information that could help locate Samjhana. Anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts is urged to contact the police immediately.

The news of Samjhana’s disappearance has prompted an outpouring of concern on social media. Anita Sharma expressed, "Hope she is safe," while Kriti Acharya Gautam wrote, "Praying for your safe return, Samjhana Adhikari." Sunnia Kanda echoed these sentiments, saying, "Hope she is safe," and Srijana Pahari added, "I hope she is found safe and well."

The Nepalese Association of Northern Territory Inc has also issued a community alert, urging everyone to share the information widely to help bring Samjhana home safely.

As the search continues, the community’s collective thoughts and prayers are with Samjhana and her family during this distressing time.
