Waterloo, South Carolina – The community of Waterloo is mourning the loss of 33-year-old Audric Jackson, who was tragically killed in a motorcycle crash in Abbeville County on Saturday, August 24.
The fatal incident occurred late Saturday night around 11:40 p.m. on Diamond Mine Road near Wiles Road. Jackson was riding westbound on his 2015 Suzuki motorcycle when he lost control, veered off the road, and collided with a tree after striking a ditch. Emergency responders arrived quickly, and Jackson was transported to the Abbeville Area Emergency Department. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly before 1 a.m. on Sunday.
The Abbeville County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Jackson was wearing a helmet and full protective gear at the time of the crash, underscoring the severity of the accident. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation to determine what factors, such as speed or road conditions, may have contributed to the crash.
