Waterloo Resident Audric Jackson Identified as Victim in Fatal Abbeville County Motorcycle Crash

Waterloo, South Carolina – The community of Waterloo is mourning the loss of 33-year-old Audric Jackson, who was tragically killed in a motorcycle crash in Abbeville County on Saturday, August 24.

The fatal incident occurred late Saturday night around 11:40 p.m. on Diamond Mine Road near Wiles Road. Jackson was riding westbound on his 2015 Suzuki motorcycle when he lost control, veered off the road, and collided with a tree after striking a ditch. Emergency responders arrived quickly, and Jackson was transported to the Abbeville Area Emergency Department. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly before 1 a.m. on Sunday.

The Abbeville County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Jackson was wearing a helmet and full protective gear at the time of the crash, underscoring the severity of the accident. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation to determine what factors, such as speed or road conditions, may have contributed to the crash.

Audric Jackson was well-known in his community for his love of motorcycles and his commitment to safety. His sudden death has left a significant impact on those who knew him, with many expressing their grief and condolences on social media.

Antwanette Clark shared her heartbreak on Facebook, writing, “Mannnnn!!! Audric Stoney Jackson, you were literally the coolest person everrrrr!! Would always want us to come down there in the country & have a good time frfr.. Definitely hate this feeling knowing one of my favorite homeboys gone. Take your rest. RIP.”

Demuriel Barney Thompson posted, “Praying strength for the family and friends, my sincere condolences,” while Sue Blu expressed her sorrow, saying, “My dawg, my baby.”

Mayor Bundy added, “Whoa ain’t no way,” capturing the disbelief that many in the community are feeling.

The tragic accident serves as a somber reminder of the dangers of riding, particularly on rural roads where conditions can change quickly. Authorities continue to urge caution and vigilance for all drivers, especially in areas where road maintenance and visibility may be limited.
