Danielson, Connecticut – In a tragic accident on Thursday night, William G. Perry, 39, lost his life while crossing Route 6 at the Maple Road intersection. The incident, which occurred around 8:15 p.m., has left the local community in mourning.
According to the Connecticut State Police, Perry was crossing Route 6 in a marked crosswalk but against the pedestrian traffic signal. A 2009 Subaru Impreza, traveling westbound, struck him with the right front of the vehicle. The driver of the Subaru was unharmed.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and transported Perry to Day Kimball Hospital by ambulance. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
The Connecticut State Police are actively investigating the circumstances of the collision. They are seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the accident to help clarify the events that led to Perry’s tragic death.
