Conway, Arkansas – The Conway community is mourning the loss of William "Bill" Milburn, a highly respected former Major of the Conway Police Department. Bill passed away on August 20, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, leadership, and unwavering service to both the department and the community.
Bill Milburn began his illustrious career in law enforcement in July 1985, when he joined the Conway Police Department. Over the course of 27 years, he rose through the ranks, eventually attaining the position of Major. His exceptional service was recognized with the prestigious Faulkner County Law Enforcement Officer Lifetime Achievement Award, reflecting the profound impact he had on his colleagues and the wider community.
Beyond his commitment to law enforcement, Bill was an active and devoted member of the Conway community. Most recently, he served on the Conway Public Schools School Board, a position he had held since March 2024. His contributions to the board highlighted his enduring commitment to fostering growth and development within the local education system.
