Aimee Krummel, Chicago, IL – Community Honors Her Legacy with Heartfelt Memorial

Aimee Krummel, Chicago, IL—With deep sorrow, the community remembers Aimee Krummel, who passed away suddenly on January 17th, 2024. Aimee, born on May 16th, 1977, in Geneva, Wisconsin, was a passionate Green Bay Packers fan and a beloved member of her family and community.

Aimee is survived by her parents, Jim and Dawn Hanec, her older sister, Stephanie, and her younger brother, Alex. She also leaves behind her loving husband, Mark, and their three cherished pets, Mia and Zeus, who were a significant part of her life. Sadly, Aimee’s beloved dog, Charlie, also recently passed away, adding to the profound loss felt by those close to her.

Aimee’s life was marked by her unwavering dedication to learning and helping others. She was posthumously awarded her Master’s in Psychology, a degree she was working toward in her dream of becoming a licensed therapist. Her career began in the culinary industry, where she made lasting impacts at various restaurants before transitioning to a fulfilling role at Trader Joe’s. Aimee’s leadership as Captain at the Southlake, Texas Trader Joe’s highlighted her dedication, compassion, and the strong connections she forged with her colleagues.

Her sudden departure has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of her loved ones. To honor her memory, a fundraiser organized by Grace Wengermarsh aims to support Aimee’s memorial in Chicago, a city she deeply cherished. Part of the funds will also go toward a bench along Lake Michigan, where Aimee loved to run, ensuring her memory is forever tied to a place she held dear. Additionally, donations will be made to PAWS Chicago, reflecting Aimee’s love for animals and her enduring commitment to helping others.
