Autumn McClure, a cherished member of the Soddy-Daisy, TN community, tragically passed away. Autumn, known for her love of the beach, animals, and outdoor activities like paddleboarding and hiking, left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. She was a bright and promising student, having been the Salutatorian of the Class of 2022 at Soddy-Daisy High School. She also held an Associate Degree from Chattanooga State Community College and was currently enrolled in their Graphic Design Program.
Her passing occurred under heartbreaking circumstances while she was in the car with her boyfriend and younger brother. A brake drum unexpectedly flew out of a truck, shattering their windshield and striking Autumn. Despite the quick response, she passed before emergency services could arrive.
Autumn’s family is deeply affected by this loss, particularly her brother, Collin Le, who has set up a GoFundMe fundraiser to help with funeral expenses and to support the family during this difficult time. The fundraiser, titled "In Memory of Autumn McClure: Family Support," has raised $300 out of its $10,000 goal, with generous donations from friends and community members like Priscilla Montez, Michelle Barthlow, Alexis Adams, and Francisca Martin.
The community has expressed its grief and support through heartfelt messages on social media. One of the many voices, Collin Le, shared, "Words cannot begin to describe how much she will be missed." The outpouring of love and support highlights the deep impact Autumn had on those around her.
We extend our deepest condolences to Autumn McClure’s family and friends during this incredibly challenging time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
