Dan Pfeffer, San Antonio, TX—The community mourns the recent loss of Dan Pfeffer, who passed away on the evening of Friday, August 16, 2024. Dan’s passing follows a tragic accident at home, where he sustained severe burns across his back, chest, throat, and arms. Despite the dedicated efforts of doctors and surgeons in the burn unit ICU, multiple surgeries to place skin grafts were unsuccessful.
Dan’s daughter, Ruth Pfeffer, who was also his caregiver, is now left to cope with the emotional and financial burdens that accompany his passing. Dan’s income was crucial to their household, and his death has created a significant economic hardship for Ruth, who must now navigate the challenges of paying household bills and covering the extensive hospital expenses incurred during his treatment.
In an effort to support Ruth during this difficult time, Scott Strange has organized a fundraiser with a goal of $25,000. As of now, there have been no donations, but the family remains hopeful that the community will rally to assist Ruth in her time of need.
The loss of Dan Pfeffer is deeply felt by all who knew him. His legacy of love and dedication to his family will be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to have been a part of his life.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Ruth Pfeffer and the entire Pfeffer family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate this heartbreaking time.
