Daniel Djissenou, Antwerp, Community Mourns Talented Artist and Friend

Antwerp, VLG—Daniel Djissenou has tragically passed away, leaving his community in deep sorrow. Known for his infectious smile and exceptional talent, Daniel was a beloved figure in both his personal and professional life. His unexpected passing has created a void that will be felt by all who knew him.

Daniel was a gifted performer, bringing joy and inspiration to audiences and colleagues alike. His presence on stage was nothing short of magical, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of witnessing his work. A quote from a theatre play, “Bye bye Life, Bye bye me… I fought every day for a better life, and a better self,” captures the depth of his spirit and his relentless pursuit of personal growth.

The community has expressed an outpouring of grief and love on social media. KunstZ, a cultural organization, shared, “With a heavy heart, we are saying goodbye to Daniel Djissenou. Gone too soon, but in that short time, you enriched our lives. Your place is safe in our minds and souls. Rest in peace.”

A fundraiser has been set up by Eyram Gator to help cover the mounting hospital and funeral costs, which have become a burden due to the lack of proper insurance. The fundraiser has so far raised €120 out of the €10,000 goal, with contributions from supporters like Nabiha El Nasire and Evans Sedua Kwashie. Every donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated in this challenging time.
