Elias John Isaac, Grand Rapids, MN— The community is grieving as they learn of the passing of baby Elias John Isaac, who was tragically stillborn. Elias was the cherished son of Serina Powers and Jesse Isaac, who were eagerly awaiting his arrival. However, complications during Serina’s pregnancy resulted in an emergency C-section after it was discovered that the placenta had detached. Despite the efforts of the medical team, Elias was born without life.
Serina, who was 33 weeks pregnant, gave birth to Elias on August 17th. He weighed 5 pounds 6 ounces and measured 17.5 inches. The unexpected loss has been devastating for the family, who are now faced with the heartbreaking task of planning a funeral for their beloved son.
In response to this tragedy, a GoFundMe page has been established by Amanda Leppanen, Serina’s niece, to assist with funeral and burial expenses. The fundraiser also aims to support Jesse, who will be taking time off work to grieve and be with his family during this incredibly difficult time. They also need prayers as they navigate this unimaginable loss while continuing to care for their other two children, Zella and Scarlett.
