Fiona Lockey, Belle Isle, Leeds—Fiona Lockey has sadly passed away, leaving a profound impact on her family and friends. Her passing has shocked those who knew and loved her, especially her sons, who are now grappling with the sudden loss and the daunting task of organizing her funeral.

Fiona was a cherished mother-in-law to Rebecca Brown, who has been leading the efforts to support the family during this difficult time. In a heartfelt message, Rebecca described Fiona as a woman who "brought so much love and light into our lives," her infectious laugh being one of the many things people will miss.

To help alleviate the financial burden on the family, Rebecca Brown has organized a GoFundMe fundraiser, aiming to raise £2,000 to cover the funeral expenses. So far, the fundraiser has reached £960, thanks to the generosity of 31 donors. Among the donors, Carrie Downie made the largest contribution of £200, while Linsey Smith and Hitchen Jennifer also made notable donations of £25 and £50, respectively.

The community has shown overwhelming support, with many sharing their condolences and memories of Fiona on social media. Rebecca Louise Brown expressed her sorrow, referring to Fiona as her "beautiful mother-in-law" in a touching Facebook post.

The love and respect for Fiona are evident in the outpouring of support, both emotional and financial, that the family has received. The funeral service for Fiona is scheduled to be held at St Peter Parish of St Margaret’s in Clitherow on Thursday, with a gathering at Belle Isle Working Men’s Club afterward.
