Isaiah Banuelos, North Las Vegas, NV—The community is in deep mourning following the unexpected passing of 17-year-old Isaiah Banuelos. A beloved friend and mentor, Isaiah was known for his resilience, optimism, and the ability to bring light to even the darkest days. Despite facing many challenges in his young life, Isaiah was a beacon of strength and positivity to those around him.

Isaiah, who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident, was raised by his grandfather after his parents were absent from his life. Though he often felt like a burden, he was anything but to those who knew him. Isaiah’s grandfather cared for him the best he could, and Isaiah became like family to many, including Phovkhan Chanthavong, who described him as a mentor to her son, Kyle.

The news of Isaiah’s passing has shaken the community, with many taking to Facebook to express their sorrow and support. Melissa Marks shared a heartfelt post, remembering Isaiah as a childhood friend of her daughter, Abigayle. She expressed her sadness over his passing, writing, "My sweet girl is so saddened by his passing, so please send love her way. Thank you and RIP Isaiah!"

A GoFundMe campaign has been organized by Phovkhan Chanthavong to support Isaiah’s memorial fund. As of now, $3,833 has been raised out of the $5,000 goal, thanks to the generosity of 78 donors. Contributions ranged from $20 to $500, reflecting the community’s desire to ensure Isaiah receives the memorial he deserves.

The love and support shown by the community are a testament to the impact Isaiah had on those around him. His legacy of kindness, resilience, and unwavering positivity will be remembered by all who knew him.

    I just read about how Isaiah touched a lot of people during his short time here. Not many can claim that. I want to thank his Grandpa and all the people that made him feel like he was part of their family.
    I didn’t know this young man, but, his story touched me.
