Jeff Worthley, Shawnee, OK, Community Mourns a Cherished Family Member

Shawnee, OK—The Shawnee community is deeply saddened by the passing of Jeff Worthley, a beloved son, father, and grandfather. Jeff was a man known for his generous heart and his love for those around him. He had a deep connection with Oklahoma State University (OSU) and cherished every moment spent with family and friends.

Jeff’s health had been a challenge over the past 16 months, as he was recovering from kidney cancer surgery when he suffered a second stroke from which he never recovered. His passing has left a significant void in the hearts of those who knew him.

To assist with the expenses related to his cremation, a fundraiser was organized by Jason Worthley. The community has rallied in support, with $2,550 raised from 19 donations, surpassing the initial goal of $2,000. Notable contributions include a generous $1,300 donation from Cole Thompson, and the first donation of $50 by Chris Worthley.

The Worthley family has invited friends and loved ones to a celebration of Jeff’s life on Saturday, August 24th, at 2:00 p.m. at Immanuel Fellowship Church in Seminole, Oklahoma. Attendees are encouraged to wear orange, a color that held special significance to Jeff. Those who have fond memories or funny stories of Jeff are encouraged to share them during the service.

Many have taken to Facebook to express their condolences and share their memories of Jeff. Angela K Krueger Davis reflected on the good times she shared with Jeff when he was married to her cousin Aletha, recalling Saturday morning breakfasts at his parents’ home. Alice Stewart-Lord simply shared, "Good memories," while others like Michael White and Austin Ledinski offered their heartfelt condolences.

The love and support shown by the community are a testament to the impact Jeff had on those around him. He will be remembered fondly and missed deeply.

We extend our deepest sympathies to the Worthley family during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
