Karen Kouzan, North Wollongong, NSW—The community is deeply saddened by the passing of Karen Kouzan, who was cherished by many. Karen was known for her warm and inclusive nature, treating everyone as family, whether related or not. Her impact on those around her was profound, offering support and love during both the good and challenging times.

In the wake of her passing, Krystal-Leigh Kouzan, Karen’s stepdaughter, has organized a fundraiser to assist with funeral expenses. The funds raised will go to Karen’s son, Luka Kouzan, to help give his mother the memorial she deserves. As of now, $1,020 AUD has been raised out of the $4,000 AUD goal through the generosity of donors.

Among those who contributed are Anonymous donors who gave $50 and $300, Chris Montanaro who donated $150, Mitchell Perkins who contributed $500, and Margaret Francic who gave $20. The support from the community reflects the deep connection Karen had with those around her.

On Facebook, Krystal Kay shared a heartfelt post urging others to donate or share the fundraiser to help with the funeral expenses. Her message resonates with many who remember Karen’s kindness and unwavering support throughout their lives.
