Seguin, TX—The community mourns the passing of Leticia Benavidez, who left us on Friday, August 16th. Leticia was a cherished mother, friend, and loved one whose departure has left a profound void in the hearts of those who knew her. Her family, especially her children, are facing the challenging task of arranging her final farewell.
Deborah Benavidez Gonzalez, Leticia’s daughter, shared a heartfelt message on Facebook, expressing the family’s deep sorrow and the unexpected nature of her mother’s passing. Deborah mentioned that her mother did not have life insurance, leaving the family to manage the expenses of her funeral. She reached out to friends and family, requesting any help they could offer to cover these costs. "Anything at this moment matters no matter the amount," she wrote, showing her gratitude to those who could contribute.
Rachelle Benavidez, a family member, has organized a fundraiser to help cover the funeral costs. The goal is set at $3,000, and although the fundraiser is still in its early stages, the family is hopeful for the community’s support during this difficult time.
Many people have expressed their condolences and offered prayers on social media. Alejandra Richardson asked for support, saying, "Please help!! Every little bit helps." Others, like Alfreda Watson and Winstana Watson, also extended their sympathies, with Alfreda writing, "I’m so sorry," and Winstana echoing, "I’m so sorry for your loss."
Leticia Benavidez’s family is now focused on giving her the proper funeral and burial she deserves. The love and support from friends and family during this time have been a source of comfort for them.
We are deeply saddened to learn of Leticia Benavidez’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this challenging time.
