Nina Davis-Oakley, Atlanta, GA—Nina Davis-Oakley, a dedicated healthcare professional and cherished member of the Atlanta community, passed away unexpectedly after undergoing major surgery in Atlanta. Known for her unwavering work ethic and generous heart, Nina was a beacon of positivity, always helping others and spreading love through her involvement with The Gospel Music Workshop of America, Inc., Atlanta Chapter.
Nina’s sudden passing has left her family and friends in deep mourning, particularly as they now face the additional grief of her father’s passing, which occurred just seven days after Nina’s death. The family is now confronted with the daunting task of preparing for two funerals, compounding their emotional and financial strain.
To honor Nina’s memory and support her grieving loved ones, her sister, Paula Davis, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to help with the funeral expenses. Despite Nina’s best efforts to hold out as long as possible due to a lack of insurance, her health deteriorated rapidly, leading to her untimely death. She had recently started a new job and was not yet vested in medical or life insurance, leaving her family with significant financial burdens.
