Steven Arthur Stenman, Minneapolis, MN – Community Remembers a Fallen Veteran

Steven Arthur Stenman— The community of Minneapolis, MN, is mourning the passing of Steven Arthur Stenman, a beloved family member, and veteran. Steven served with distinction in the U.S. Army, where he was part of the 82nd Airborne Division during the Desert Shield/Desert Storm conflict. His passing has left his family and friends deeply saddened, particularly his son, Nickolas, who is struggling with the loss.

Steven’s life after military service was marked by battles with mental health issues and alcohol dependency, struggles that eventually led to his untimely passing. His best friend and fellow veteran, Nathan Seabrook, has set up a GoFundMe page titled "Support for war veterans’ family" to assist Steven’s family with the financial burdens that remain, including costs not covered by insurance. The fundraiser seeks to raise $25,000, though donations have only just begun.

The news of Steven’s passing has sparked an outpouring of grief and support on social media. Rick Lawrence expressed the sadness of seeing a disease take a loved one, while Allen Senninger, Lisa Marie Joppie, and others offered their condolences and prayers for the family. Jim Murray reflected on the fragility of life with a heartfelt message, "But for the Grace of God there go I." Many others, including Jack Goodfellow, Rose Bucholtz, and Susan Capling Lackowski, have joined in offering prayers and support to Steven’s family during this difficult time.

Nathan Seabrook’s message on the GoFundMe page calls upon fellow veterans and those who have lost loved ones to mental health and addiction issues to contribute in Steven’s honor. The community’s support is a testament to the impact Steven had on those around him, and the love he brought into their lives.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Steven Arthur Stenman. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this challenging time.
