Wayne Weldy, Kings Mills, OH—With a heavy heart, we share the news that Wayne Weldy passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 15th. He was a cherished husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, known for his kind heart, friendly nature, and love for his family. Wayne was not only a dedicated family man but also the world’s best mechanic, always offering a shoulder to lean on.
Wayne’s passing has left his wife, Molly, and their six-year-old son, Daniel, facing significant challenges. As they navigate this difficult time, a GoFundMe campaign has been organized by Rhonda Rathbun to help ease the financial burden, covering medical, funeral, and daily living expenses. The community has already shown immense support, with $2,425 raised so far out of a $25,000 goal. The generosity of friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers has been overwhelming, with donations ranging from $50 to $500.
Molly Gardner Weldy expressed her deep sorrow on Facebook, saying, "Last week, Daniel and I lost our very best friend, the best dad and husband! Wayne passed away unexpectedly while doing what he loved—spending time with his family." She thanked everyone for the outpouring of love and support, stating that it is a testament to the kind of person Wayne was.
Among those who have shared their condolences on social media are Jessica Fitzpatrick, who wrote, "I am so sorry for your loss! Sending you and your family prayers," and Courtney Bratkowski Cowan, who said, "Wayne was a wonderful human being, and I feel blessed to have known him."
Funeral arrangements and services will be announced soon, and the family is also collecting photos of Wayne to cherish his memory. If you have any pictures, you are encouraged to upload them to the shared Google photo album.
We are deeply saddened by Wayne Weldy’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Molly, Daniel, and the entire Weldy family during this difficult time.
